Barone was Gail Cunningham in The Shoes from Seinfeld season 4. Barone was a chef who was named Elaine Benes who wanted shoes. Barone was one of the cast members of Carol & Company, starring alongside Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone also played Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife during her first appearance on Friends. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she resigned to start full-time work.
