Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell has worked in Charleston reporting, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. As well as her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. In addition, she hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
